Образуется функциональными группами аминокислотных остатков, расположенными строго определенным образом в пространстве за счет сближения отдельных участков полипептидной цепи. Структура А.ц.ф. соответствует (комплементарна) химическому строению субстрата, благодаря чему достигается специфичность действия фермента.
